Austin brunch restaurant Paperboy is expanding with a second location next year. The new Paperboy will be found in the Zilker neighborhood at mixed-use development the Bouldin at 1401 South Lamar Boulevard starting sometime in early 2025.

The new Paperboy will be similar to its older sibling. There will be its daytime menu with food like pancakes, eggs, bowls, migas, toasts, and much more. Then there will be its drinks like coffee, espresso, tea, sparkling wines, cocktails, and juices. It’ll also have a takeout window. The space is being designed by Paperboy designers Chioco Design and Kempt Studio.

Paperboy’s parent company Daybreak Hospitality — under founder Ryan Harms — is keeping very busy. He’s also in the middle of opening a new pizzeria in Central East Austin, Loudmouth, which is taking over the sprawling shuttered space previously belonging to the Rosewood restaurant. The casual spot is expected to open with wood-fired pizza, chicken wings, sandwiches, and drinks in the fall.

Harms opened Paperboy as a food truck in 2015, and then turned it into a physical restaurant in 2020. Daybreak also operates San Antonio restaurant Full Goods Diner.

The Bouldin will also include a forthcoming location of national wine bar chain Postino (which is supposed to open in the fall) and a fancy gym from fitness chain Life Time, per Austin Business Journal.
